Hester was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was with sketching and tailoring vibrant couture since childhood. She used to insist that her parents should buy them stylish fashion wear.
Hester’s father was a furrier and her grandmother worked in the textile industry.
While growing up, she used to persistently work with safety needles and seam costume for her dolls as well as trade them to classmates while at school.
Following her passion and deep concentration in fashion, she attended Parson School of Design but soon dropped out of school in a junior year. She later transferred to Eugene Lang from where she graduated with a degree in fashion design, history, and theory.
Hester later moved to London to attend Central Saint Martins. She later briefly studied at the tertiary art school before relocating to New York.
