Gretchen ex-boyfriend Michael Penner is the father of their baby girl Gracie. Mike is an American author, according to Whosdatedwho. 

They started dating in 1996 and maintained a close relationship with him. Gracie moved to Nashville in 1996 to sing as a backup singer and record sample songs. 

In 2000, Wilson met a former member of Lonestar, John Rich, who asked her to become his songwriting partner. Wilson signed a deal with Epic Records in 2003 and released Here for the Party within the year. 

Mike and Gretchen welcomed a baby girl Gracie on November 9, 2000.

Many might not know, but Gracie married Larry Rolens before dating Mike. Unfortunately, it was her brief marriage that ended in a year.
