As noted, Olsen was raised alongside two brothers who were also involved in football, which represents Greg’s assertion that his family revolves around sports. His older brother, Chris Olsen, Jr. had been playing since childhood because of the influence of their father who was a coach. He also played in college but couldn’t make it to the NFL.
There is also Kevin Olsen who is the youngest of the three brothers and who like the other two have also been involved in the sport throughout his life. A quarter of the Charlotte 49ers at the University of North Carolina, Kevin decided to play in the NFL. However, he now faces a rape case which could see him spend up to 10 years behind bars despite denying the allegation and refusing a plea deal.
For his part, Greg Olsen not only has a successful professional life, but also a good personal life since he is already married. In 2009, he linked up with Kara Dooley, whom he met at the University of Miami when they were both college students.
Two years after becoming husband and wife, Greg and Kara had their first child, Tate Christian Olsen, born in 2011. In her next birth on October 9, 2012, Kara Dooley gave Olsen a set of twins, Talbot and Trent jerry.
The beautiful family now lives in Carolina where The Panthers star continues to play football while Kara Dooley is involved in charity work with the Greg Olsen Foundation, which the NFL star set up in 2009 to raise money and help people suffering from cancer. He founded the foundation because of the experience of his mother, Susan Olsen, who had battled and survived cancer for over a decade now.
