Rick Lagina was born in the family of Kingsford, Michigan, to George Jacob Lagina and Ann Lagina-Cavalieri on January 25, 1954.
He is the third member of the family with another brother, Marty Lagina, and sister as siblings. Rick is well-known for his story behind Mystery Oak Island. He was just 11 years old when he first learned about the land via an article in The Readers Digest.
The article included thorough information on the mystery island, discoveries, as well as different rumors about it and its alleged curse.
He was so enthralled by the legend’s mystery that he decided to make it his life’s goal to find the treasure, by leaving his US postal service job.
Finally, in 2005, Dan Blankenship, who was in charge of Oak Island, gave priority to the offer placed by the Lаginа brothers. Due to their long-standing desire for the island and hunting, Blankenship allowed them to purchase the island.
the Lagina brothers then began their journey in the year 2006 and set out to make the island a more welcoming tourist destination.
The island is also the home to a museum that contains all of the exquisite artifacts discovered on the island, including coins, relics, metal fragments, inscriptions, and human remains.
Their work caught the attention of the History Channel. And in the year 2014, the mystery and the hunt of the Oak Island was shown on the channel as “Curse of Oak Island”.
The mysterious Island was then studied with the help of some well-known experts, and modern technology is being used in the process.
The show was a smash hit at the time, driving the Lagina brothers to fame.
