Frederick Newhall Woods was 24 years old when he committed the crime. He along with others two hijack the school bus with 26 children and a driver in it in 1976 at Chauchilla.
When he was caught, he received 27 life sentences without the possibility of release. But he became first eligible for parole in 1982 and held 18 parole since then.
In March 2022, his parole hearing took place at the California Men’s Colony, state prison. On Friday, March 25, 2022, he read out an apology during his parole hearing. He is not featured on Wikipedia, however, the incident has been featured.
