A 16-year-old girl named Sakshi was brutally murdered in the Shahbad Dairy area in northwest Delhi by a man named Sahil, who was reportedly in a relationship with her.
The incident occurred on May 28 when Sakshi attended a birthday party for a friend’s son.
Sahil accosted her, stabbed her over 20 times, kicked her, and beat her head with a boulder.
Shockingly, several people witnessed the incident but did not intervene.
The accused was captured on camera continuously stabbing Sakshi, even after her body fell to the ground.
The police received a call about the crime half an hour later, and Sahil fled the scene.
However, he was later arrested in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, after making a phone call to his father.
In his confession, Sahil showed no remorse for the killing. The motive behind the murder seems to be Sahil’s frustration and jealousy over Sakshi’s relationship with another boy.
The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about women’s safety in Delhi.
