Dante Taylor entered the New York prison system at the young age of 21.
He was kept in solitary confinement, which took a huge toll on his mental health.
Dante’s mother, Darlene McDay, revealed that her son wrote her letters expressing how his mental health was deteriorating and struggling for his life inside the prison cell.
There are also allegations about Dante being beaten beyond recognition by the prison guards for smoking synthetic marijuana until he was unconscious.
