Danny Way, together with his childhood mentor, Mike Ternasky, founded the skateboard company Plan B in 1991 as a part of the Dwindle Distribution company. The company was re-formed in 2005 with the financial support of Syndrome Distribution. Both of them retained their roles of being the company co-owners and professional skaters.
The company over the years has been sponsored by Independent Truck Company, DC Shoes, Pacific Drive, Nixon, MegaRamp, Capix, and ASEC. In 2005, he became the first and only person to ollie over the Great Wall of China. In 2012, a documentary based on his life was released, which was titled “Waiting For Lightning.” He toured Canada and Australia in support of the documentary. He is a member of the band, “Escalera” as well.
