Charlotte Riley met her husband Tom Hardy on the set of Wuthering Heights in 2009. They hit it off immediately, and the following year they got engaged. The two also got to work together in other films and series like The Recording and Peaky Blinders . The couple married in July 2014. Their marriage made Charlotte stepmother to Hardy’s son from his relationship with Rachael Speed, whom he met on the set of the 2005 film The Virgin Queen .
Together, Charlotte Riley and Tom Hardy have three children, including her stepson. Charlotte gave birth to her first child with Hardy in October 2015. In December 2018 she gave birth to her second child.
