He was born on March 6, 1979 in Central County Michigan Farm. Veterinarian Dr. Jan Pol and his wife Diane Pol adopted shortly after his birth, so Charles has no information available about his biological parents. The good doctor and his wife also adopted two other children: Kathy Pol, who joined the family when she was born, and Diane Jr., who was already 18 at the time of her adoption.
Charles Pol started helping animals when he was still a child. He helped his dad at the clinic and was really helpful with farm calls as well as looking after pets and farm animals. In the beginning, everything was important to Charles, but when he got older and decided on the profession to focus on, being a veterinarian like his father did not appeal to him. He opted for a career in the entertainment industry, a decision his parents never objected to.
Preparing for his adventure in the entertainment world, Charles studied mass communication and media at the University of Miami, where he obtained a bachelor of science in 2003. He previously took an undisclosed course at Central Michigan University from 1998 to 2001. After graduation, he moved to Angeles where he interned with big names in the industry such as Paramount Pictures and Mirage Enterprises. His main focus was acting and producing. During his internship, he had the opportunity to learn from Sydney Pollack, one of the best in theater and film production.
Starting in 2004, right after graduating from college, Charles Pol explored film production before the idea of a family show came up and he pitched it to the National Geographic channel. Soon the show Incredible Dr. Pol appeared in 2011 with Charles as producer. In addition to working behind the cameras, Charles often plays a starring role on the show. Other cast members include Doctors Jan Pol, Diane Pol, Brenda Grettenberger, and Emily Thomas.
In addition to Incredible Dr. Pol, Charles has worked on other series, including television series. The Legend of Sheriff Gus Skinner (2013) and Calling Dr. Pol (2014).
