Mulvaney and President Joe Biden had a meeting for a “presidential forum” for the website NowThis News.
When questioned by Mulvaney about recent legislation by Republican-led legislatures that limits gender-affirming care for transgender youth, Biden called it “outrageous” and “immoral.”
According to N.B.C. News, Mulvaney was the focus of a “vitriol Campaign” by “right-wing activists” after she met with Biden.
In a tweet, Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn included a TikTok video that Mulvaney had made and claimed that “extreme left-wing lunatics” like Joe Biden and Mulvaney wanted to normalize this lunacy.
The transgender lady and media icon Caitlyn Jenner stated on Twitter that she agreed with Blackburn’s comments and referred to Mulvaney’s video as “absurdity.”
A few days later, Mulvaney uploaded a video to TikTok in which she addressed Jenner’s remarks and clarified that she felt compelled to answer because Jenner had incorrectly referred to her as a man.
