Alonzo Dargan is aged 30 years old, while Akelia Ware was 28 years old.
Investigators stated Dargan was from Georgia and had a long-distance relationship with Ware while stationed in North Carolina during a press conference on Friday.
Dargan grew up in Troup County Sheriff’s Office, according to detectives, and was arrested on October 8. Ware and Dargan, according to investigators, were on different automobiles.
Ware drove for another 2-3 miles before collapsing. He pursued her in his car and nearly drove her off the road.
