Alex Mallari Jr. is engaged to his fiancée, Ashley Snook. He spoke to Streets of Toronto, sharing the behind-the-scenes of his real-life romance with his partner.
Alex and Ashley first met online through a dating app and went on their first date on the eve of February 2, 2019.
The night before he left for LA for his first-ever pilot season, Alex picked up Ashley near her apartment in Little Italy and took her to BarChef since he wanted to get to know her and give her a new experience.
The two hit it off on their first date and got lost in the conversation and each other’s Company.
They started seeing each other frequently, including a trip to New York City, picnics at Trinity Bellwoods, and trying each other’s favorite Toronto eats.
Fast-forward to New Year’s Eve 2021, the couple went to BarChef, where they had their first date.
After leaving, Alex drove Ashley to their different little spots throughout the city. He later brought her back to where he first picked her up.
He got out of the car, and as the countdown finished, he got down on one knee and finally popped the question. She said yes!
Alex says they are not married yet and still enjoying the engagement. His fiancée is currently in her last year of Ph.D., and the couple will get to the wedding conversation soon enough.
